The M.A. in economics degree is only available to students currently in the Ph.D. program in economics at SMU.
|
Degree Requirements
Students pursuing the Ph.D. program are qualified to receive the M.A. degree after fulfilling the following requirements: 1) passing the written qualifying examinations in microeconomic theory and macroeconomic theory, and 2) completing 30 credit hours of courses in their program. These include the following required seven core courses and three elective courses: Required Core Courses (21 Credit Hours)
